Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion, depending on the depth, is a care cosmetic treatment or a healing medical treatment. It involves grinding the consecutive micro-layers of the epidermis.

This treatment improves the appearance of the skin; makes it smoother; removes the dead, calloused skin cells, papules and comedos; stimulates the cell renewal and causes better blood circulation, stimulating the regeneration and synthesis of collagen. Microdermabrasion improves the appearance of the skin, “it lightens it up”, causes smoothing of small wrinkles and scars, reduces the intensity of acne symptoms and seborrhoea, reduces the enlarged pores of the skin and reduces the after-acne scars.

Indications for the procedure:

  • Acne (comedones, acne papulosa)
  • Scars and postacne hyperpigmentations
  • Seborrhoea
  • Large pores, comedones
  • Freckles and hyperpigmentation
  • Stretch marks
  • Hypertrophic scars
  • Superficial wrinkles
  • Solar hyperpigmentation
  • Loss of skin elasticity
  • Keratosis pillaris
Wskazania do zabiegu:

During the procedure, to the skin surface cleansed from cosmetics and sebum there is a head grinding the calloused layers of the epidermis being applied, then sucked by the air stream leading to the head. The depth and the number of treatments is selected individually, depending on the condition of the skin, the type and the degree of its damage. Microdermabrasion treatments are painless, and their beneficial effects may be observed after the first treatment. However, they are recommended to be continued, in the cycles planned by a doctor in order to extend the spectacular effects.

The rules of conduct after the treatment:

    • Within 1-2 days after the treatment the skin may slightly turn red.
    • The skin may be washed with a mild cleaner.
    • For skin care the moisturizing cream or other preparation should be used, prescribed by a doctor performing the treatment.
    • The exposure to solar radiation should be avoided within the next 2-3 weeks after the treatment, and in daily care – the products with UV filter with a high protection index should be applied.
Contraindications for microdermabrasion:

  • Active viral, bacterial and fungal infections
  • Acne pustulosa and phlegmonosa
  • Severe rosacea
  • Loss of skin continuity
  • Oral treatment with isotretinoin – the procedure can be performer in 3-6 months after the end of therapy
  • Keloidal tendency
